Recently Bacarra Rhodes and Fey Brightwillow, founders of Spellbound, asked for our help with an exciting large-scale production: a three-sim celebration of early 1900 English culture and a tribute to Peter Pan and the world of Neverland. The program is expected to open within a couple of weeks and continue for at least a month.
We agreed to help out, based on Spellbound's excellent work in coordinating the world of Oz earlier this year. Our support includes the temporary use of three sims away from the mainland and some Linden staff consulting. The project is not-for-profit and these sims won't receive any dwell during the time Neverland is open to the SL community.
We view this project as an opportunity to test a new direction for Linden -- large scale support for complex, interactive projects that need a boost to get started. Depending on how this project works out we plan to expand the idea into an ongoing program that responds with support to other groups who want to create something new and unique within SL.
