The Luna Oaks Galleria and Busy Ben’s Vehicle Emporium (in Oak Grove) offer some of Second Life’s most desirable retail space, and both of these premier locations are ready to offer four-month leases to a limited number of new merchants! (Please note this is an increase from the shorter lease periods of the past.)

The Galleria offers a varied range of shop sizes, from 16 square meter Kiosks all the way up to breathtaking 1,300 square meter anchor stores – all boasting primitive allocations five-times above the norm. Busy Ben serves vehicle dealers with leases on individual plots of 32 or 96 square meters, featuring vehicle-friendly prim allocations, with the larger lots holding up to three vehicles for sale.

Lottery!
Leases for smaller retail spots -- 40 smaller shops at the Galleria and 38 single-vehicle stalls (several in each category) at Ben's -- will be awarded by lottery. Lottery entries are due no later than Wednesday Aug 31, 2005, at 11 AM PT. The first ten names drawn in the Galleria lottery will be awarded 64 square meter “walk-in” spaces supporting 33 primitives, the next eight names drawn will be awarded 32 square meter “stands” with a 15 prim allowance, and the final next 22 entrants selected will get 16 square meter “kiosks” with seven prims available. All lottery plots will be assigned.

You may enter one lottery or both but you can only win one. If you enter both, you should state your preference or we will choose for you. Luna entrants preferring a smaller space should note that in their post. Entries for the Busy Ben’s lottery must state their category preference (Auto, Boat, Flying Craft, Motorcycle, or Hoverboard) along with second and third choices.

Auctions!
Leases for the larger spaces are available at each location -- six premium stores at the Galleria and four multi-vehicle plots (one in each category) at Ben’s -- and are being offered in Linden Dollar auctions closing Thursday, Sept. 1. and Friday, Sept. 2. These will be awaiting your bid at secondlife.com/auctions . Don’t forget that you can set a maximum bid ahead of time and the system will bid for you up to that amount!

The Fine Print
Current occupants who will not be staying will need to clear out their items by Midnight (PT) Tuesday, Sept 6, 2005. New occupants can move in on Wed, Sept 7 @ 1PM.

If you win an auction in either sim, you are disqualified from both lotteries -- so if you win a lottery, and then win an auction, your lottery plot will be passed on to the next name drawn. Please note that you can win only one auction per sim.

Only one lottery entry per person. Anyone entering an alt account will be disqualified.

All winners (auction and lottery) will receive a four-month lease during which they may sell their own items and those created by other Residents. Sales locations are counted in your land tier. Winners cannot sell their parcel. Modification of the beautiful Galleria structures will be limited to interior changes that are not apparent from the outside and signs must be no higher than the top of the store. In Luna, items for sale must be inside your shop or kiosk. No items for sale are allowed on the concrete area in front of the shops. You may hold events and gatherings at the Galleria and Ben’s, and merchants are more than welcome to direct shoppers to larger outlets in other regions -- "If you like what you see here, grab this landmark and visit my main store." Current occupants are allowed to bid or enter the lottery. If you win but for some reason you don't want the plot, you must notify Jill Linden. Please do not release to public. Please keep content PG as these are PG areas.

Items for sale must be no higher then store ceilings. Other items such as plants or non-for sale items can be placed on the concrete area directly in front of stores that is a part of that stores design (must be on your own property only). If placed on Linden land, objects will be returned to your inventory.

Please no looping sound files. Please no scripts that would cause area lag. Please no particles used that would drift off the size of your plot.

Please IM Jill if you have further questions.

Sorry for any confusion - the auctions have not yet gone live for the Luna and Busy Ben lots - I will set the six premium stores at the Galleria and four multi-vehicle plots (one in each category) at Ben’s to start on Monday. They will not close until Thursday and Friday instead of tomorrow and Monday.

Please note if you are an existing tenant and are entering the lottery again, you are welcome to stay in place until the winners are announced.

If existing tenants luck out and win a like parcel, we will leave you in place to minimize disruption.

If you wish to vacate before the lottery ends, please notify Mick Linden who will be taking my place as lead on the inworld portion of this project. PLEASE do not release or sell your plot. If you are concerned about exiting quickly just IM Mick with your plot number and he can come and claim it.

I will also be happy to answer questions if Mick is unavailable.

As some of you have noticed, most of the auctions worked properly, accepted bids, and charged resident accounts per usual but two did not. Later today we will need to restart two auctions for Busy Ben lot #4 and lot #38. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused and we appreciate your patience and understanding in this matter.
