Website Problems This Morning

Sorry I didn't post sooner, but I couldn't log-in. We realized this morning that we were having problems both with the grid and the website. It turned out we were seeing serious packet loss through Internap, and on further investigation, found out there was a DOS attack on the site.

Internap is filtering and working on tracking it back to the sources and getting them filtered. Unfortunately, this may take a while, and there's not much we can do in the meantime.

The grid seems to be fine, and we're keeping a close eye on it. As soon as we're in the clear I'll let you know.

Well, if you're here you know that the site is back up!

We've taken some steps to bypass the DOS attack, and both our Ops group and Internap are watching to make sure it doesn't recur.

Our efforts to restore access to the SL site are partially succeeding. We're continuing to monitor the situation overnight, and thanks to Mark, Tim and Rocky!
