If you ran the Second Life Preview build in the last week, you may notice that sometimes avatar names have large numbers in front of them. For example, an object might claim to be owned by "1080172390 Dan".
This is because of a file format change for one of our cache files, which messes up the display of some names when you switch back to the release version. It's harmless, the objects and land are still owned by the correct people.
The easy way to correct it is to reinstall Second Life.
The hard way to correct it is to quit Second Life, make sure Windows Explorer will show you hidden files and folders, then navigate to:
C:\Documents and Settings\<your name>\Application Data\SecondLife\cache
And delete the file "name.cache".
Sorry for the inconvenience. This won't happen with future updates, as I've "future proofed" the file format.
