Governor Linden is pleased to announce the creation of a new landmass that will rise from the void on Thursday, June 19th at 5 pm. The new continent will be connected to the current one on the north boarder of Boardman.

Coming June 19th:

The first wave will include four territories that are completely open to settlement. Two of these will be premium regions that feature lots of coastline and a higher price tag.

In addition there will be five group settlement regions, parts of which are currently being purchased by group members: Americana, Kazenojin, Little Tokyo, Tyralia City and WizWorld. Some of these regions may have extra land open to anyone to purchase on June 19th. (The Dark Wood expansion will open at the same time although it is located just north of the current settlement. The expansion of Nexus Prime opened last week.)

The new continent will also include a camp region similar to De Haro and a Southern California region like Boardman as well as a two-region welcome area. Finally, one region will function as a huge sand box where all objects are deleted each day. That allows you to freely experiment without having to buy land.

To help with orientation, the regions in the new land mass are named after colors, with longer names in the north and shorter names in the south. Also the names in each row are in alphabetical order.

Coming later:

Over the next few weeks we plan to add 11 regions to reach a total of 25.

Come join us at 5 PST on June 19th to explore the new land.

for a map of the new SL that includes the new territories to the north:

Link to the website and select the "World Map" in the bottom right of page https://secondlife.com/resident/index.php

or Check "Map of the World" under "Help"

A couple of points of info:
The yellow area indicates where future land will appear.
There are no new Mature zones in this release but more are planned in July.
We don't plan to use the new welcome area as the entry point for new residents immediately but probably will in the future.
