I wanted to post an explanation and our apologies to everyone about what happened with the email yesterday.
Short version here:
-We created an email list to announce the website
-We incorrectly set the administrator priviledges
-One person responded around 9:00pm PST, exposing the problem to everyone
-about 11 emails were sent between 9:00 and 10:45pm PST
-we fixed it at 10:45
This error was caused by our eagerness to announce the site, and by administrative oversight (which is a nice way of saying, we were in a hurry, and messed up in our haste).
For the record, no email names were exposed other than those who directly responded to the automailer.
