The preview for v1.6 of Second Life is now open. You can download it here.
Please feel free to experiment with the new features and test your existing objects. Don't worry -- nothing here is permanent, and changes to your money or inventory will NOT affect your regular account.
There are 3 critical known issues. In addition, we're collecting other bugs as they're discovered on the Known Issues page. Please submit any additional bugs using the Bug Reporting tool in the Help menu.
The big ones:
- DO NOT use local lighting. You will crash.
-- After/during viewing video (yes! there's video!) you may see sharply reduced frame rates and bursty delays. Relog to fix this problem.
-- Chat bubbles (optional) do not always/correctly show text chat.

Preview is back up!
Please note that llParcelMediaCommand has been removed. Use llParcelMediaCommandList instead (see the lsl documentation for details). You will need to recompile any scripts which used llParcelMediaCommand _____________________
