Many newly arrived Second Life Residents have pondered the Balloon. Why a Balloon, they've wondered. Why not a flying dragon, or a magic carpet, or any dirigible other than a Balloon? While we're on the subject, how come there's a set flight path? What if I want to see what's over there instead of whatever-it-is we're flying to right now?

The Friendlier Skies

The limitations of the balloon have to come to an end. The group formerly known as Balloon Guides will now adopt the stylish new moniker of Sky Guide Tours - and flight path and flying craft involved are now left to the imagination of the Guides.

The Balloon itself has been removed so that the Sky Guide might dock their tour craft at its former berth just past the Welcome Area in Morris.
