With Second Life v1.0.4 we are now able to better support free trials by new users. Beginning 29 July 2003, we are no longer requiring credit cards to create free trial accounts. Additionally, we've extended the free trial period from 5 to 7 days.

Second Life will be down starting at 6AM Pacific Daylight Time. Starting to build your own alien abductor spacecraft at 5:45AM is probably not a good idea. ;)

We will be back online no later than 8AM PDT.
