The new city continues to grow.

Two more city regions are now up on the auction block - PG-rated Miramare and Mature Barcola. The bulk of bidding deadlines fall on Saturday and Sunday - 4-3 and 4-4 - with a few more on Monday night.

You can see how the southern part of the city is already flourishing only a few days after the last auction. The lots are smaller than usual but feature twice the normal number of prims per meter. This results in a greater density - and low monthly land fees. The land is not terraformable.

On the other hand, if an inexpensive parcel in the country appeals to you, check out Callisto, the last of the current set of sims in the south. Bidding on those plots end on (edit) Wednesday 4-7 and Thursday 4-8.

We did a survey recently and found that many residents don't understand the auction process. It's really simple: You bid at secondlife.com/auctions. Some parcels require L$ bids, others go for US$. Whoever has entered the highest bid when an auction closes wins the parcel. If someone bids in the last five minutes, then the deadline is extended by five minutes. More information is posted here.

Edited to change the dates of Callisto auction closings.
