We want *your* music for Radio Linden, coming soon!

RADIO LINDEN is emerging soon and we want Resident musicians to join us! You may have earlier heard of Help Radio. Now, with that accomplished, the music plays on!


WHAT IS RADIO LINDEN?

1. An inworld streaming station focusing on official and fun info from Linden Lab! We'll provide audio insight into what's going on at LL and in SL, serving up sonic supplements for a diverse audience--including those who prefer hearing, instead of reading, their news!
   

1. We're primarily NON-commercial, but we will promote the wonders of SL itself--like your music!
   

1. An aim of ours is to be homegrown and resourceful, so expect lean, mean (in a nice way) programming, not grossly bloated filler. Like SL itself, Radio Linden is flexible, adaptable, and will change based on feedback from the community.
   

1. We plan to be broadcasted at the Welcome Area and Infohubs around the grid (on your map, those are the blue i's!). Ever wonder why they were so silent before?
   

WHAT ISN'T RADIO LINDEN?

1. We're NOT here to compete with Resident-run stations! We complement, and compliment. In the tradition of Linden "seed" content, we hope that Radio Linden will spark and inspire more Resis to set up their own networks on the electronic airwaves. Infact, if you have your own station, we're hoping if you hear music that you like, that you'll contact those responsible and get them hooked up with you! Win-win for everyone, your success is our success... it's all good.
   

WHY DO WE WANT YOUR MUSIC?

In a world created by Residents, we absolutely can't leave you out. We want to showcase the tuneful talents we have here, and since Help Radio kicked it off, we're boostin' up the amps now with Radio Linden! Speaking of, we're going to have Linden music by Lindens as well, so expect a choice mix-up of ch00ns.

HERE'S WHAT TO DO!

1. First, emphasis is on unique creations in any style of music by YOU, or in the cases of duos, groups, or more... but submittees must own copyrights or playback rights unless the material is public domain. And if you have friends who make wicked tracks who aren't in Second Life, why not bring 'em in and show 'em around so they can give us a taste too?
   

1. Read the guidelines for Help Radio to learn more, although things are even more open this time around. Music that you made remains YOUR intellectual property.
   

1. Music should be rated "PG" because of the initial broadcasting plan to PG sims.
   

1. When you're ready to submit your music, email us at [email=radio@lindenlab.com]radio@lindenlab.com[/email] with as many weblinks (not file attachments) to your downloadable, hifi MP3s as you want. But please be sure to state your TOP THREE CHOICES for us to check out ASAP. The following is an example of the info you'll need to provide:
