Below are the Names of those Residents chosen to be included in the first round of the Forum Resident Moderator (ResMod) group. These Residents were selected by either volunteering or having been nominated by members of the Community Team. Read more about the selection criteria here.

These Residents will receive further information about how this new process will work, along with a copy of the Second Life Forums Resident Moderator Guide, which I have also posted with the Forum Guidelines. To clarify, ResMods will only have moderator status in the Discussion forums in this beginning phase of the project.

How the Rotation Works:
We had many more volunteers than spots, and we will be adding more people to the pool in 2 weeks. Basically, ResMods will be notified when they are added to the active pool of ResMods and based upon interest, participation and forum activity will be rotated in and out of the pool. Don't worry, if you weren't selected for the initial pool, you may be added to a later rotation. Thank you all for your interest and support as we start this next exciting phase in the Second Life Forums history.

Clarification:
Everyone who was selected for the pool has the option to NOT participate. If you are selected and chose not to participate, you will be removed from the pool, if you do choose to partcipate, you have the option to remain and other volunteers will be added to the pool.

Ratings:
Since we have removed the ability for non-Linden or ResMods to rate threads in the Discussion forums, it makes sense to remove the ability to rate threads from other forums as well. As such, we have removed the ability to rate threads. Thank you for your patience during this new phase of the Second Life Forums.
