For the first time in Second Life history, Linden Lab is hosting a Winter Holiday Celebration. The festivities will center on the Ski Chalet at Wengen 20, 200 beginning on Saturday, December 18 and closing with a New Year's Eve celebration.
The nearby lake in Zermatt has frozen over -- just in time for a Burning Life sort of expo featuring snow and ice sculptures created by fellow residents. Moritz will host creations of "winter holiday traditions". The chance to sign up for a spot ends Wednesday at 2 pm PT. Check this link for details.
The frozen river in Voss (200, 200) will be the site of a specially created outdoor ice-skating rink and the location of five themed skating parties. (Skates will be available nearby.)

And finally, a special event you won't want to miss - a mass snowball fight where Linden Lab staffers will take on all residents -- at the Ski Chalet at Wengen 20, 200 on Tuesday, December 21, at 3:30 PM PT.
Whenever you come by, start off by visiting the Ski Chalet and pick up a special gift from Linden Lab. The Chalet parking lot serves as an excellent rezzing zone. There's a Ski lift operating nearby that will elevate you to excellent snowboarding.
One way or another, make sure you are part of this winter wonderland experience.
