LindeX, Linden Lab's L$ Currency Exchange is now in public testing

LindeX, Linden Lab's L$ Currency Exchange is now in public testing. This means that we're processing real trades, so if you want to buy or sell some L$ please consider trying LindeX.

You can exchange currency with other Residents using market buy orders and limit sell orders.

During the public testing LindeX will be running with more conservative limits than we expect to be running with once the public testing phase is complete. Also the Paypal cash-out fees are much higher than we expect them to be once we've automated that functionality.

During the testing period Residents whose accounts are less than 45 days old will be restricted to:

1. purchasing no more than US$20 worth of L$ per day and US$40 worth of L$ per month
   
2. can't sell L$
   

During the testing period Residents whose accounts are 45 days old or older will be restricted to:

1. purchasing no more than US$250 worth of L$ per day
   
2. selling/posting no more than US$1000 worth of L$ per day

I just wanted to add a few notes about the exchange:

1. LindeX is now open 24/7.
   
2. Currency delivery is now virtually instantaneous.
   
3. We've greatly improved the the feedback messages that are displayed when an order can't be completed.
   
4. We're continuing to improve the exchange. We have several major features in active development right now.
   

I'd like to say thank you to everyone who jumped in early to help with the public testing, your feedback has been invaluable.
