Earlier this evening, while fixing our vBulletin software (in an attempt to facilitate the new Forum moderators) we experienced an error which caused the database to behave erratically. This may result in a less than perfect forum experience. We are working on the issue now, and you should still be able to read/post, but some of the other functionality may be impaired or behave oddly.

The broken-ness has been unbroke, to the best of my knowledge.
The issue was human error, in this case. Stressed-out day + venturing into new territory + multi-tasking development = a database operation that turned a fix into blowing away a part of the vbulletin software.
The error was immediately recognized and the fix started immediately. We restored from backup the part that was destroyed. The entire process took roughly 40 minutes.
