Steps to reproduce the bug: Set world light to midnight and nighttime brightness all the way left (dark) to see this the easiest. Create a linked set of flex prims (smaller better) that rotate. Move cam as far away back as possible to see this better. Drag-select over the object so it highlights but doesn't stop rotating.

Observed results: Smaller non-flex versions(?) of the flex prims appear about 20m+(?) away from the object. However, these don't show up if the object is selected and not moving (llTargetOmega rotation stopped). I couldn't get a screenshot of it with SL's bug reporter since there's no hotkey for it (ahem--hint, hint) but see

Expected results: No stray linked flex prims when selected.

Dunno when this was fixed but it doesn't seem to happen anymore.
