terrain texture detail reduced in 1.9.1(25)?

Here's a screenie (.JPG) of the diff between terrain texture on main grid and preview 1.9.1(25):

The leftmost shot is preview. Terrain detail sliders were set on FULL in main grid and HIGH in 1.9.1(25). Terrain texture detail looks totally borked in preview. :(

EDIT: It seems to be a bug in lighting, but it doesn't show up until I relog. If I enable Nearby local lights and then relog, textures will be smeared. It's reproducible for me, so I bug reported it.

I'd be more worried that the preview turned you into a dog!
