Steps to reproduce the bug: Set object and avatar detail (LOD) max (all the way right) in prefs. Create a sphere and copy it.
Observed results: The copied sphere (one left behind) turns into a low-LOD one. Attachments also don't retain their LOD level and will change at times (inconsistently), as per the screenshot.
Expected results: LOD should work consistently.

I thought I had a video problem which is not (thank gawd) and I test by using sl preference and playing around to set high/low to see if anything change but all are stay the same, no change at all so I set everything back to default settings.

Noticed this in 1.9.1.14 too. Even Maximum detail shows an absolutely horrible LOD. Bug reported it; hope it's just a bug, not an intentional change in overall detail.

It's a known issue, according to Milo. Let's see if it makes the next build's known issues list or, more preferably, if it's just fixed.
