Object detail changed?

I installed the .14 release today an noticed that the object detail is nowhere near the same as it was. It is horrible now! Take in mind that the detail slider has not moved from the very first release....its also the same as it is on the main grid. Why would I have to bring my object detail so far up all of a sudden? Has anyone else observed this problem?
Take also note that the setting is the same as it was in the .13 release. A and now at the current setting it is horrible. I had to bring object detail up and spend fps in the process :(

Any object looks blocky now for me even with object detail at max settings. Just checked that out. Especially a rounded torus. instead of it being "round and smooth" its blocky.

Confirmed. It is not just me having probs with the LOD. Others have this prob as well. In the preview grid now as I speak :)

yep. Max object detail is now close to what min object detail used to be.

Here's hoping that isnt the new way.

I know folks are clamoring for more FPS, but at this kind of expense, it's ridiculous.

Yeah, SOMETHING IS AUDACIOUSLY WRONG WITH BLOCKY WATERMELONS. :\ (Unless they are square, then it is kewl.)

However, this would be a nice time to request that per-prim LOD be added as a configurable option...
