$ Mousepointer

So I'm chillin in preview, when suddenly a big black and white dollar sign appears by my mouse pointer. I am all like, "WTF" and go to bug report it and it dissapears. So move my mouse back down into the screen and it reappears. Fortunately I then realise that it's appearing as I hover over something (But like touch, seems to respond so slowly that having a different icon to try to make things "easier/user friendly" is... well blah, let's not even get into that )

Anyways, who hates the new "$" icon that appears as we hover over buyable (and I'm assuming payable) objects? I mean, no offense to whoever came up with the icon or likes it, but did they say "Oh, the menu-triangles are too big for you, eh? Try THIS on for size then!"?

I mean, sure I guess it "fits" and is logical to have a "$" icon like to mirror the format of "touch", but why not just a white $ with a black outline (not solid square border) that's a bit smaller (about the size of the mouse pointer)? Just... sayin...

Yea, I don't know what crack James Linden (who, apparently, codes SL's GUI) has been smoking ever since SL 1.6 when the inventory started getting slower and animated, but he/LL really need to stop forcing all this GUI fluff crap on us and MAKE IT OPTIONAL! I'm glad he let the script window get narrower (tho still not as narrow as it could go in SL 1. but the inventory especially is just annoying--even worse since the stupid Mac-style directory tree arrows.

What would be better is simply a tiny $ icon appear next to the mouse cursor and have it optional.

Talk about adding annoying things for no good reason...
