I find the sun effect too strong, it distorts the colors too much.
I'd like to be able to have the local lighting on without the sun light effect.

I think it is too strong also, but I like the idea. Maybe tone it down a bit? Or have a slider option how intense you want local lighting?

1.9.1.24

Currently on my screen for 1.9.1.24 I have in Lighting Detail radio buttons for "Sun and moon only" and "Nearby local lights".
You can only have one of these selected, selecting one unselects the other.
I assume the one that says "Nearby local lights" means "Sun, Moon, and nearby local lights".
I would like to be able to control these independently, one for Sun, one for Moon, and one for nearby local lights, each able to be selected or not selected without affecting the other two options.

assuming shadows make it back in someday soon, i'd also like to see a "nearby lights and shadows (including sun/moon)". turning on "all lights and shadows" was a bit much for my machine in most places, but i loved how the walls of a house actually kept out the sun with it turned on.

Taking the occasional medicinal sip of human blood does not mean I am a vampire.
I believe the overactive sunlight is gone from the preview for the time being.
