Here's a side by side comparison shot of my AV being lighted with shaders ON and OFF. You can see in the left pic (shaders OFF) that my AV is lit by red and green light sources. In the right pic (shaders ON) the lighting effects are not rendered. http://www.triadalliance.com/shaders.bmpWhy does the lighting look better without shaders? EDIT: I'm running a GEFORCE 6800 GT (PCI-Express x16) with 256 MB of GDDR3 SDRAM and Nvidia ForceWare 84.21. Other graphics settings in SL at the time of the shot are: Nearby Local Lights. This is the only lighting option I can enable with shaders disabled. Does enabling shaders kill Nearby Local Lights? The checkbox is still checked, so I assume NLL is still activated, but the rendering seems to say differently.

I bug-reported this weeks ago yet it never got a reply (other than the automated one which assigned it an ID of 256847)... Paulie, you need to stop linking to BMPs; at least compress them to JPGs.

From: someone Paulie, you need to stop linking to BMPs; at least compress them to JPGs. I second that.
