This could be a fun time for everyone. I just tested out the Preview Grid to make sure my graphics were still going to work... it was pants. My Avatar render was a psychedelic smear of colours. This was with: Omega 3.8 205 - not that old. Switching off the Avatar Vertex Program fixed the problem. I then upgraded to: Omega 3.8 231 - the latest available. This seems to fix the Avatar Vertex Program which I could then enable with no glitches. I'm using a Radeon 9600XT (256mb), plus I run with the featuretable.txt settings hacked to enable AGP. I wonder how many people won't update their drivers. Updating graphic drivers is a PITA.

Enabling AGP on your ATI card will slow you do alot..
I run fine for about 10-30 minutes then I slow down with AGP enabled (and on), by having AGP off (as suggested) I don't get that slow down. First I would turn that back off and see how it goes.

heh... the AGP thing wasn't a part of the 'test', it was just so people know how I run my set up - I've never experienced the slow downs you describe. And with my system updated with the Omega 3.8 251 drivers, the preview now works fine.

I've been using the Catalyst 6.4 drivers and everything seems hunkydory with everything turned on, even with AGP enabled I don't have any side effects and it doesn't seem to increase or decrease performance either way. Of course I run official drivers and don't run any betas.
