any release date mentioned?

Hi folks,

apologies if i totally missed this elsewhere - I have scoured with no result.

Has any release date for this new version been mentioned yet? I (like many others) eagerly await the possibilities of these toys on the main grid.

I haven't noticed any, but I feel like a few of the features aren't quite release-ready yet, things like the performance hit that older graphics cards are seeing for example. There's also a few features (e.g lights) that I'm really not sure about, while it's nice to see progress, they don't seem like much of a replacement IMO due to the issue of them lighting EVERYTHING in their sphere, including items through walls.

I dunno, I hope to see it on the main-grid soon, but I think it shouldn't be rushed as many of these features are IMO worth of a 1.x update, but they should be perfected before being released, especially if some are having performance hits for people.

At the town hall (about a week ago?), 'two weeks' was cited as an estimate. I dunno, judging from this forum I'd guess a WHOLE lot longer, but maybe previews are always like that.

hehe - it was a little hairy for a few days. and 1.9.1, i imagine, is grizzly adams crossed with zztop plus boston's drummer's afro.

i sure am anxious too to see it (preview grid's fun only till the point you make something cool and wish you could save it... - but LL most def. should -not- rush it out the door. can't wait - but want it done right, baby!!

I hope they make the lights more useful before they release it. If not there'll be no reason to enable it, it'll just create a lot of annoying side effects.

Reporting bugs so we can get 'em fixed faster will help accelerate things. But it shouldn't be long now--Preview 1.9.1.14 was just released today. Keeps getting better.
