Has anyone seen docs for the new LSL functions like for http (llHttpRequest) and others. I looked around but can't find anything. Thanks.

Can one use this from their home computer behind a cable modem, or is this just for folks with access to a server?

the request comes from the simulator, so firewalls shouldnt matter.

The URL you call with llHTTPRequest has to be a web address that is accessible from the Linden server. You can host the page at home if you subscribe to an IP redirector service like the one I use and recommend, no-ip.com.
