Is anyone else seeing this behaviour, or is it just me? The preview client is crashing-to-desktop upon reaching 'connecting to region' status, and gives me the SL crash logger. Just curious...

Check to see if you have 'Show Updates' active in the Debug menu. Now obviously, you can't check this in the preview client since it won't connect, but the setting seems to carry over from the main SL client, so make sure it's turned off there.
