bug: image placeholders duplicate 3D pane

Steps to reproduce the bug: Open a profile or a window that displays an inventory image (i.e. texture selector).

Observed results: The 3D pane (live) is duplicated in the image placeholder until the image downloads.

Expected results: While cool, the 3D pane should not appear in image placeholders.

This doesn't happen right away in a new SL session so it might be video memory-related (corruption, running out, etc).

I got this bug to reliably reappear.

Disable vertex shaders and close secondlife if shaders were ever on during the current session.
Start it back up and reconnect if you needed to close it.
-The loading texture will be white.

Turn shaders on. Click apply.
-The loading textures will now be the 3D pane.

Turn shaders off again. Click apply.
-The loading texture will now be the last frame rendered when shaders were on. It will last until sl is restarted, apparently.

Fraid I can't replicate this on the current version (1.9.1.16) with my 5900 Ultra Golden Sample. Still White textures with shaders on and grey boxes with shaders off.

But with shaders on, I get some textures flickering black.
