For those that haven't noticed, Preview is now running version 1.10.0.26.

As we mentioned before, the version jump is to reflect the number of new features in this upcoming release; beyond that, 1.10.0.26 is a incremental release from 1.9.1.25. There aren't many big new features in today's update versus last week's, but it does put us one step closer to the live 1.10 release!

Have fun in Preview!

I was just in the preview.
I was having some settling problems and object rending issues. It was al sorted out with adjustments which needed attention.

Objects still occasionaly flicker for me.. and wth? Avitar Vertex Program & Avitar bumpmapping disabled even with --noprobe? Were they removed? Makes no sense because I was running fine with those options in 1.9.1(25) with my 6600GT.

Av vertex program and bumpmapping enabled for me fine on my GeForce 6600GT. Stop dorking with unsupported video drivers, Ron...

I also notice a VERY recent database image has been used, as I had started work on a new avatar head Saturday evening/Sunday morning and it's present in my inventory. o.O

Not that I'm complaining.

Yeah, the 1.9.1.25 release notes mentioned that we buggered something up in Preview and just went ahead and use a new snapshot of everyone's accounts... May 8th, I believe.

The bonus is that any new resident who joined before the 8th, but after the previous Preview snapshot, can now give Preview a spin!

Perhaps you took a collection of everyone's names from May 8th, but the inventory is most definantly from the 13th on. Like I said in my last post, that head I was making most definantly was made this past weekend on Saturday (most notable for me because of a crazy fur auction which netted a whole lot of money for the sim I usually hang out in).

Lee, although I hadn't made any SL 1.9.1+-specific content since the last preview grid "database corruption", these preview grid inventory resets are REALLY getting annoying in general. See, I had a section of the Morris southeast (I think) corner with my objects (perhaps about 30 total) in various states of test that were suddenly deleted one day while I wasn't there. No explanation was given--I posted about it on the forums too.

It's bad enough that the database supposedly gets magically corrupt (in this day and age of RAID and backups) but to have content get mysteriously deleted for no reason given basically makes testing the preview quite annoying, irritating, and frustrating. I can't (and won't) test like this if I have to recreate my content all the time.

It's bad enough I have to recreate it for the MAIN grid since, supposedly, inventory content can't be transferred between grids (which is stupid, incidentally). And combined with having to download ~20MB updates every few days (on average), preview testing is more a chore than fun. If I was PAID to test SL it might be a different issue, but I can't really justify doing this for free in the future if it's going to be this much of a hassle...

Sounds like Eep's asking for a job at LL. o.O

It might be nice to allow things we make in the preview grid to be integrated into our main grid accounts. I'm sure content created or uploaded to the preview is dated in some fashion, so on update day why not delete everything from the preview database made before the preview opened (as well as removing cash made), and then integrate the left overs into the main database? It's not like we're asking for instant content, but being able to keep something we've worked on would be good.

Bump - some who weren't able to enter preview earlier because of their join date might want to try it again.
