I was just getting over the disappointment of not being able to turn the detail up to the highest settings but when I closed the dialog box things got worse.

I think that's pretty awesome... I wish SL would let me do that sort of thing on purpose. :D

P2

It appears to affect everyone, on my system, so it will be a crowded telethon.

Darn, I just found some good places to buy clothes in preview, and my bod has to be deformed.

It's not just the arms, my legs are similarly affected, depending on what position I'm in.

If I disable the shaders my arms return to proper shape.

I hope that changes, shaders are good.

Videocard? Drivers version? I had this exact same bug on my x700 mobile. The drivers were way outdated, and the latest omegadrivers release fixed the problem. Check up on the drivers thread in this section. If youre running an ATI using anything under catalyst 6.4, update to 6.4. If you're using 6.4 currently try the omegadrivers.net verson of 6.3.

I'm using the latest Omega drivers, version 3.8.231 is what it said on omegadrivers.net, catalyst 6.3, although what shows in the display settings is 3.8.205.

Oh, the card, according to SL, is a RADEON X800 GTO x86/SSE2, 256 Meg.

I already knew it might be possible that the 6.4 ATI drivers might fix a problem the Omega drivers had, but I get sick of reinstalling drivers all the time.

However, as a result of being reminded of the 6.4 ATI drivers by your post, 12 hours or so later I decided I would go ahead and try it

It worked, shoulders are ok again with the shaders enabled.

Thanks. :D

I wonder if the NGO drivers are any good, well, right now I have to deal with my newly expired anti-virus (easy to deal with) and newly expired anti-spam (don't know what to do about that).
