Hi. I'm trying to create a video tutorial that uses text boxes that point to certain objects in the Second Life window during the film. Some software like BBFlashBack offer capture modes and easy editing but the quality is unacceptable/unusable and you cannot import movies captured with other software. I started using FRAPS which is great but I'm wondering if there is any good freeware that has a non-linear interface where I can a) import the AVI files and b) easily insert text boxes and other similar objects necessary for a tutorial. I'll buy a license if there isn't anything free out there.
Thanks, Epilort Byrne

well, I think more generally you're asking about non-linear video editing software, like Final Cut or Adobe Premiere. You might want to check out Sony Vegas which has a 30 day free trial. If you wanna be a pirate, there's places you can get other software but that's up to your moral code. Try googling for "open source video editor". The first one that pops up is http://www.jahshaka.org/I tried this a LONG time ago and wasn't thrilled with it, however it might have come a ways since then. If you check that out, let us know how it works out.
