airport issue and texture rez?

Hi All,

Just bought a 2.16ghz macbook pro and went into SL with the UB alpha - all I got was (eventually) grey blocks... thought that this must be the texture issue that others have posted but it turns out to be because of a now "known" issue with the intel implementation of the airport cards.

It's fine at home on a netgear router but here at work (yes, I know, I'm naughty) I'm getting 3 - 5k/sec speeds from my wireless connection, to a D-Link router.

Anyone else had this wireless problem with the intel macs? I was told by apple help that they are aware (after an hour of me patiently following the tech support routine of resetting pram etc.)

So thanks to Linden Labs for the UB support and bad, bad apple for shipping with this problem and causing me to ring them for the first time in 11 years of loyalty :(

hmmm.. havent seen the problem. I play fine running Airport from my MacBook Pro to a dlink router. Maybe its a certain setting somewhere that causes it, on the MacBook, or the Router.

it is a setting... so-called "turbo mode" on the DSL-604+, when I switched that off, everything's fine!
