My HUD is GONE!

I was trying to drop my HUD to add a new (and much anticipated) dance to it, and I kept getting "item rez errors". I know that's not verbatim, but that's the basic error message I was receiving. I tried rezzing it in two other zones and got the same message, so I gave up for that moment.

Suddenly, I crashed.

This was last night -- it is now 6:00 the next morning and my HUD, along with ALL the many many animations I'd put into it, is/are completely gone. They have not appeared in my lost and found as dropped items normally do.

What sort of bug is this? Is anyone else having this problem? I'm panicking.

EDIT: I loved my HUDDLE. Dunno if there's anything you can do to help me recover it, with or without the animations (LOTS were in it, by the way), but I'd really, really appreciate any help you could give me.

I can certainly replace your HUD. Unfortunately database problems of this sort don't have anything to do with the HUDDLE itself. It's a problem that only LL can solve. However there are some steps you can take.

- First try clearing your cache. This is under Edit > Preferences > Network, I think. This will force your client to refetch the list of items in your inventory. Use the search box to look for your HUD.
- If that doesn't work, open a support ticket. If you are a basic account and can't, ask the person who owns the land to open one.
- If you cannot get any support from LL to help you (and even if they do respond, it is likely that they cannot find it). Try contacting the animators themselves and ask for replacements.
- Encourage animators to make their animations available as "copiable/no transfer" so that you won't lose them again.
- IM me directly if you need a replacement HUD.

Although this didn't remedy my issue, I really appreciate your willingness to help. I wish LL's customer service was more like HUDDLES'. Heh.
