I am not very computer savvy and I don't do well with intricate instructions. I was wondering if it would be possible to add a set of easy instructions to the EZ Animator Deluxe.

how to change the items on the main buttons
how to move animations from one area or category to another
how to remove an animation and put it back in your inventory.
how to make a notecard from scratch, step by step

Are just a few things that would help. The current instructions seem to be geared towards the experianced 2nd Life player and not us new Lifers. especially those of us who have no idea what many of the terms mean or what to do.

Maybe some of this I would understand if I understood 2nd Life better, but. maybe you can help with EZ Animator at least.

I hope I made sense. I confuse myself sometimes.

I'll take a look at the instructions again and see if I can make them easier to understand. I worked hard on them to keep them understandable to newer players. I realize that they are considerably longer than the instructions for most devices. If I were you I would just start at the beginning and slowly (over several sessions) work your way through it and try to follow the directions for each section. Start with the first called "Quick Start". This was intended to be the "Easy Instructions". If you have a question about what a particular instruction means, please post it here.

"how to change the items on the main buttons"

Well, you can add animations to the device by dropping them into the device and then using the Next and Previous buttons to page through them. When you hit those buttons it pages through all the animations in the device (unless you have a notecard loaded). Take a look at A B and C of the Quick Start section.

"how to move animations from one area or category to another"

hmm... I'm not sure what you mean by that. I'm guessing that you are talking about notecards? You have to open the notecards that are inside the HUDDLE and alter them. Please refer to the section "III. Notecards" for help with that.

"how to remove an animation and put it back in your inventory"

- Drop the HUDDLE on the ground.
- Right click and choose open.
- Open your personal inventory.
- Click on the animation and drag it to your animation folder in your inventory.
- If a copy remains in your HUD after you are sure it is in your animation folder, right click on the animation and choose "delete" to remove it completely. This happens if you have copy permissions on the animation. Dragging it to your inventory copies it there.

"how to make a notecard from scratch, step by step"

- Right click a folder in your inventory and choose "new note"
- Right click the New notecard that is created and choose "rename"
- Give it a new name
- Right click on the notecard and choose "open"
- Add animation names to the notecard, one per line
- Make sure that the names match the animations exactly and that there are no extra spaces at the end of the line. Also there should be no extra lines at the bottom of the notecard.
- Close and save the notecard
- Drop it into the HUDDLE.

Being able to set up the HUDDLE EZ Animator Deluxe does require a little knowledge of how SL works. I do think if you take your time working through the intructions, it will make sense. Just post here in this thread specific things from the instructions which you need help with.

Oh also, you can solicit help in the HUDDLES Customer Service group. It's free to join. Look it up in the Search if you do not belong already. Or you can IM me, I'm usually quite happy to help people with problems.
