------------------------------

BEFORE YOU START

HUD's are attachments that appear on your screen. To put on the EZ Animator,
just "Wear" it from you inventory. You may also attach it to any other HUD
position. To take it off, right click on it and choose "Detach".

I. QUICK START

A. ADDING ANIMATIONS
There are two ways to add animations to your EZ Animator:

- For animations with limited permissions (no copy or no transfer)
-- Drag the EZ Animator from your inventory to the ground.
-- Right click on it and choose 'Open'
-- Drag animations from your inventory into the contents of the EZ Animator.

- For full permissions animations you may also simply drag a copy from your
inventory and drop it onto the HUD while wearing it.

B. PLAYING ANIMATIONS
Just click the name of the animation you want to play. For long animations, it
may take a moment for it to load to your client, just like a large texture.

To stop an animation, click the square button between to the right of the ALL
button. Click it once to stop the currently playing animation from the EZAD. If
the EZAD is not playing any animation currently, it will stop all animations on
your avatar. This is convenient when you might get stuck in an animation from
a pose ball or other animation device.

C. BROWSING ANIMATIONS
Use the arrow keys just below the animation names to browse all the animations
in the HUD's inventory. From left to right the buttons are:
|<< First Page
<< Previous
>> Next
>>| Last Page

D. DANCE AND RANDOM MODE
The Dance button is the middle button in the first row at the bottom. It looks like
a man dancing. When you click on this button, you begin "dance" mode. The
EZ Animator will begin with the first animation in the HUD's inventory and play
each animation in order.

The Random button looks like a die. It's on the left in the second row. Random
mode works exactly like the Dance mode except that it chooses a random order
to play the animations in.

To stop Dance or Random mode, simply click the button again or click the "Stop"
button. The stop button is square icon in the middle button in the second row.

E. NEXT DANCE
When in Dance or Random mode, you may skip to the next animation by clicking
the "Next" button--the single arrow icon on the right of the second row.

F. MINIMIZING AND MOVING HUD
To minimize the EZ Animator, click the Minimize button on the top right corner
of the device. It will shrink to a small bar with five buttons:
- Random mode
- Dance mode
- Stop button
- AO on/off toggle button
- Restore button - to see the full HUD

To move the HUD on your screen, right click on it and choose "Edit." Use the
blue and green arrows to drag it somewhere else on the screen.

The EZ Animator remembers two positions, the position it was last minimized
and the position it was last full size. So, you can choose an out of the way
spot for it when it's minimized, and a different spot for when it's full sized.

IMPORTANT - If you ever attach the EZ Animator to a new HUD position, it will
clear the last saved positions. This is a feature, if for some reason you attach the
HUD and you don't see it on your screen, attach it to different HUD spot.

G. FLIP BUTTON
At the bottom of your EZ Animator is a small button. Click it. This is the flip button.
It flips the bottom two rows of buttons. There are three sets of buttons:
- The basic animation and dance buttons
- The animation overrider controls
- The administration buttons

H. HELP BUTTON
At the top of the HUD is a button which has a question mark for an icon. Click on
this button and a copy of this notecard will pop on your screen.

II. DANCER OPTIONS
The EZ Animator not only animates you, but up to 10 friends as well. This is most
often used for dancing, but there are other applications for it as well, such as
animating a model for a photoshoot or taking control of a pet.

A. INVITING DANCERS (and the HUDDLES Dance Ball)
There are two ways for others to join your EZ Animator:
- The Invite button (the envelope icon at the bottom) brings up a list of the
16 closest avatars (use the arrow keys to see the last six). To invite one to
dance, click their name.
-- If you don't wish to invite someone on the list, click the invite button again
to return to normal operation.

- OPTIONAL: You can also wear the HUDDLES Dance Ball. It is an invisible prim
that attaches to your avatar. Someone else can click on it to start dancing
with you and to stop dancing with you. You do not need to be wearing the
Dance Ball to invite others to dance with you.

B. REMOVING DANCERS AND CLEARING DANCER LIST
Next to the Invite button is a button to help you manage your dancers. Click on
this button and a list of your current dancers will pop up. Click on one of the
names to remove them from your EZ Animator.

C. SELF ANIMATION
There are times when you will not want to animate yourself, but still animate
others on your EZ Animator. To turn off self animation, click the "Me" button.
To turn it back on, click it again.

III. NOTECARDS
A. ANIMATION LISTS
You may want to load a list of animations for a specific purpose like dancing and
modeling.
- First create the notecard in your inventory and name it.
- Open it and type in a list of animations, 1 per line.
-- The name you type in must be identical to the name of the animation.
-- And the animation must be in the inventory of the EZ Animator.
- Drop the notecard into the EZ Animator.

* IMPORTANT: If when playing an animation from a notecard, the name of the
animation is displayed as chat instead of that animation playing, it is because
the animation is misspelled on your notecard. Double check your notecard when
this happens. Trust me. Really. You misspelled it. :p Often it's a missing or extra
space.

To get the exact name of the animation, you can right click on it and choose
properties. An info window will pop up and you can copy the animation name
directly from that pop up.

**PLEASE NOTE: In addition to the animations in the HUD, you may use the
animations built into Second Life. To see a list of these animations, open up the
notecard named "SL Animations" or go to this web page:

http://secondlife.com/badgeo/wakka.php?wakka=animation

B. LOADING NOTECARDS
To load a notecard, click the button with the disk icon (above the Me button).
A list of notecards will be displayed on the HUD. Click on name of the notecard
you wish to load.

C. EMOTES AND SOUNDS
The notecards can contain more than simple lists of animations.
- You can drop sounds into the HUD and put their names on the notecard.
- You can type in emotes which will be displayed when you press the button.
- You can combine animations with sounds and emotes similar to gestures.
-- Multiple items may be on the same line and separated by the | symbol
like this:

backflip|ding|/me exclaims whoopee!

This line on the notecard would:
- Play the animation "backflip"
- Trigger the sound named "ding" and
- Display the emote "Keiki Lemieux exclaims whoopee!"

PLEASE NOTE: The | symbol is above the enter key on a standard US keyboard
and to the left of the Z key on a standard UK keyboard.

D. NAMING BUTTONS
By default, the name displayed on the HUD is the first item from that
line on the notecard. Instead you may name a macro by adding an item at the
beginning of the line. For instance, change the above macro to this:

[NAME]Mega-Flip|backflip|ding|/me exclaims whoopee!

The [NAME] (or [name]) tag in front of the first item identifies Mega-Flip as the
name you want displayed on the HUDDLE.

E. MAPPING LANDMARKS
The EZAD now also works with Landmarks.
- Drop your favorite landmarks into the EZAD.
- Create a notecard which has the name of each landmark, 1 per line.
- Load that notecard as you would any set of macros or animations.

When you click on a button that is loaded with the name of a landmark, your map
will pop up with the location of the landmark selected. You can then teleport
there by clicking the "teleport" button on the map.

* For an example of how this works, load the notecard named "Landmarks."

F. REZZING OBJECTS and the TARGET BUTTON
You can also rez copies of an object that you place inside the EZAD.
- Drop copies of vehicles, vendors, bots or other objects that you have into
the inventory of your EZAD.
- Create a notecard which has the name of each object, 1 per line.
- Load that notecard as you would any set of macros or animations.

When you click on a button that is loaded with the name of an object, a copy
of that object will be rezzed 2 meters in front of you.

Objects can be incorporated into more complex macros, similar to sounds or
emotes.

* For an example of how this works, load the notecard named "Objects and
Poofs."

The target button is currently only useful with HUDDLES Poofs (sold at HUDDLES
Headquarters). Click the button that looks like crosshairs of a gun scope on
the bottom right. Then choose a name from the list. This will be the target for
targetable poofs until you choose another target.

As a bonus, I have included four objects with the EZAD.
- Bling Mouse: this is a simple, fun particle effect that follows you around
for a couple of minutes before dieing.
- Cherry Poof and Shamrock Poof: Both originally designed for the HUDDLES
Poofer Pal, these poofs (and any of the others sold at HUDDLES HQ) work
inside the EZAD now.
- Cherry Pie Poof, a targetable particle effect.

G. ADVANCED MACROS
For information on making more advanced macros, look at this notecard:
‚

IV. ADMIN OPTIONS
To get to the admin options, click the little circular button at the bottom of the HUD.
I call this the flip button. Click it once to see the AO controls, twice to see the admin
controls and then a third time to see the main controls again.

A. SOUND ON/OFF
This button looks like a little speaker. Click it to turn the sound on or off (used for
macros only.

B. SILENT MODE
This button looks like a bullhorn. Click it to turn "Silent Mode" on or off. In silent
mode, the vast majority of chat spam is eliminated. Does not affect emotes, or
chat generated by the Animation Override.

C. EMOTES ON/OFF
You can turn emotes on and off using the button that looks like a chat bubble.
Emotes are used only in macros and this controls whispers and shouts too.

D. DANCE TIME INTERVAL
The button that looks like a wrist watch is the button to set a new Dance Time
Interval. Click it and then type in a number of seconds to set the time between
dances in Dance or Random mode. The default time is 20 seconds.

E. CHANGING HUD ALPHA (TRANSPARENCY)
The alpha (or transparency) button looks like a cursive "a". Click in and then
choose how transparent you want your HUD to be.

F. CHANGING HUD COLOR
The color button is last. Click it and then choose a color for the buttons on your
HUD.

V. BUILT IN ZHAO (Animation Override)
The EZAD now comes with a few built in animations to provide basic AO support.
A walking, sit and stand animation is provided for both female and male avis. To
use these as your AO, click the Load button on AO controls and choose either
~AO_male or ~AO_female and you are all set.

If you have set up an animation override before, this should be no different.
- Drop your animations and the notecard from your Wet Ikon or ZHAO into the
EZ Animator.
- Rename your notecard so that it starts with the letters AO. This is the only way
for the EZ Animator to distinguish macro notecards from AO notecards.
- Switch to the AO controls and click on the disk button to load a notecard.

A. EDITING ~AO_CONFIG NOTECARD
If you have not set up an animation override before, here is how it works. Animation
Overrides (or AOs) work by constantly checking your avatar and replacing the
default animations with custom ones allowing you to choose the way your avatar
sits, stands, walks, flies, etc.

You specify which animation you want to use for each state by copying the
AO_config notecard provided and typing in animations into the blank lines. For
instance, on the first line of the config notecard you will see this:

:: [ Walking (also Striding) 1 ] ::

On the blank line below it, you would type the exact name of the animation you want
to use when your avatar is walking like this:

:: [ Walking (also Striding) 1 ] ::
Sexy Walk - Slow

That animation also must be in the inventory of your EZ Animator to work.

Drop the notecard into your EZ Animator when you are done.

PLEASE NOTE: You do not have to specify every animation. You might only specify
the walking, sitting and stand animations for instance. If the line is left blank,
then the ZHAO lets the default animations play.

B. LOADING NOTECARD
To load an AO config notecard, switch to the AO controls by clicking the Flip button
at the bottom of the HUD and click on the button that looks like a computer disk.

C. AO ON/OFF
The button marked AO allows you to toggle your AO off and on.

D. SIT ON/OFF
The Sit button allows you to toggle just the Sit animation from your AO. This is
useful when sitting on pose balls and dance balls.

E. NEXT STAND & TIME INTERVAL
AOs typically cycle through each of the stands that you choose for your avatar.
You may set the time interval for this process, by clicking the button that looks
like a watch in the AO controls and then typing in a number.

If you want to turn off the automatic stand switching, type in 0.

Next Stand looks like a single arrow: >. It allows you to immediately change to the
next stand with a button press.

F. CHOOSE WALK
The ZHAO allows you to load up to 5 different walks and choose which one you
want to use. Click on the icon of a figure walking to choose between the loaded
walks

G. CHOOSE SIT
You can have up to 5 sits as well. The button with the figure sitting allows you to
choose.

H. CHOOSE GROUND SIT
Finally you also can have up to 5 ground sits. The button with the figure sitting
on the ground allows you to choose which one.

VI. ADMIN
A. RESET ALL SCRIPTS
Although this device has been thoroughly tested, you may at some point run
into a problem that you cannot fix. Perhaps the device becomes unresponsive
for instance. You can select the device and choose 'Reset Scripts in Selection"
from the Tools menu of your client. This should correct most problems.

B. UPDATES
The EZ Animator Deluxe is designed to automatically check for updated versions
once a day. If there is an more current version than you are using, a folder will
be sent to you with the latest.

If you do not wish to recieve further updates, you may turn this feature off:
- Open up the EZ Animator Deluxe
- Scroll down to the bottom of it's contents and open the script named:
Update Client.
- Double click on the script and uncheck the "Running" box.

That copy of the EZ Animator will no longer check for updates. If you decide
later that you want to start receiving updates again, simply check the "Running"
box again.

C. REPORTING BUGS
Please report any bugs you find here:

HUDDLES EZ Animator Advanced Guide to Macros

The first notecards you load into your HUDDLES EZ Animator Deluxe will
likely be simple lists of animations, sounds, landmarks and objects. However,
you can do a lot more with notecards by creating macros. Macros work like
this, you write a number of commands separated by the | symbol (located
above the ENTER key on US keyboards). Each line of a notecard is a complete
macro.

For example:

backflip|Boing|3|backflip

What the EZAD does is look at each command and decides what to do with it.

- If it matches the name of one of the animations built into SL, it plays
that animation.
- If it matches the name of an animation inside the EZAD, it plays it.
- If it matches the name of a sound inside the EZAD, it plays it.
- If it matches the name of an object inside the EZAD, it rezzes it 2 meters
in front of the EZAD.
- If it matches the name of a landmark inside the EZAD, it opens your
client's map and maps the landmark location, allowing you to tp there.
- If it is a number, the macro will pause an equal number of seconds.
- If it is text (that doesn't match one of the commands below), then it
says that text in open chat with your name as the speaker.

In addition, there are a number of commands that the EZAD responds to:

[NAME]text

If the first command in a macro is the [name] tag, the text that follows it will
be displayed as the name of the macro on the EZAD button.

[STOP]

This tag stops the current animation.

[REPEAT]

Starts the current macro over again. This is ignored if you are in dance mode.

[GO]XX

Jump to play another macro from the current notecard specified by XX. 1 is the first line of the
notecard.

[XX]text

When you put a number inside the brackets, the EZAD broadcasts the text that follows on this
channel number. Useful mainly for commands to control other scripts which are listening on
off channels

[WHISPER]text & [WHISPER:XX]text

The text that follows a whisper command will be whispered instead of just a normal say. Whispers
are limited to 10 meters instead of the normal 20 meters for most chat. You can also have the
the EZAD whisper on off channels by changing the XX to a number.

[SHOUT]text & [SHOUT:XX]text

The text that follows a shout command will be shouted instead of just a normal say. Shouts
have a range of 100 meters instead of the normal 20 meters for most chat. You can also have the
the EZAD shout on off channels by changing the XX to a number.

[AO_ON] & [AO_OFF]

These tags turn the AO off or on. For instance you might want to play an animation that doesn't
work properly when you AO is on. You could have a macro like this:

[AO_OFF]|disco_dance|20|[STOP]|[AO_ON]

This macro would turn off the AO, play the animation "disco_dance", wait 20 seconds, stop
the animation and turn the AO back on.

[LINK]text & [LINK:XX]text

These tags should only be used by experienced scripters. You can drop your own script into the
EZAD and use the EZAD macro system to control the script through link messages. For example

[LINK]SCRIPT_ON

This macro will broadcast the message SCRIPT_ON to all the linked prims in the EZAD. If you used
[LINK:4] instead the message would only be sent to link 4.

[DIALOG]text,button1,button2,button3,XX

The dialog tag allows you to set up a dialog menu pop up from the EZAD. You must specify the
text to be displayed on pop up, the options for the buttons and finally the channel the dialog
will be said on. You can have up to 12 buttons on a dialog pop up and each button can be up
to 24 characters each.

Dialogs would be useful for commands for scripts that must be said by the avatar itself.
For instance, you might have a dialog to control your multi-gadget which looks like this:

[DIALOG]Multi-Gadget menu options,flight on,flight off,mg pose,mg show,mg hide,23

[MAP]sim name,x,y,z

This command will bring up a map and highlight the location in 'sim name' at location x, y, z.

[REZ:x:y:z]object name

This command will rez the object named "object name" at location x, y, z relative to your
avatar. For instance:

[rez:4:0:6]anvil

That macro will rez the object named "anvil" 4 meters in front of you and 6 meters above you.

[RAND]x,y

This command will cause the macro to wait for a random amount of time before it goes on
to the next command. The amount of seconds it waits is y seconds plus a random number
between 0 X. For instance:

[rand]30,90

This command will cause the macro to wait between 90 and 120 seconds before doing
the next command--a random number of seconds between 0 and 30 plus 90 seconds.
You can leave off the second number if you wish.

* Please note that the Multi-Gadget is not included with the EZ Animator.
It's a separate product sold by Timeless Prototype. But this is an example
of how you can use your EZAD as a universal remote to run other items
you might own and use.

[name]Who is nearby?|[LINK:3]WHO_NEARBY

- The name displayed will be "Who is nearby?"
- Sends message "WHO_NEARBY" to link 3.

I'm about to make an update to the EZ Animator. I've reworked the Help notecards as well and posted them here. I'm putting up a bounty for this afternoon. If you find any typos in the above posts, please reply here. I'm paying 50L per typo.

This means things I agree are a typo and end up changing. For instance, I'm going with "notecard" even though that shows up as a mispelling from some spell checks.
