Having trouble changing forum pic

I'm having trouble changing my forum profile pic. When i go to "edit your profile pic" the correct picture appears, under "your current profile picture,"
but that picture does not appear with my posts (my old picture still appears there). I believe I have followed the instructions carefully, so how may I correct this situation?

Try "Edit your avatar"... I believe that's the picture that shows up next to your posts in the forum.

Make sure it's not too big...100x100 is the max I think. And when you upload a new one make sure you check save changes before exiting the Control Panel.
