Hi,

Many thanks for the SL client for linux when it works it is fantastic.

I am experienceing connection issues. I often cannot connect and either get stuck and the logging on part of the start up or sore frequenty it locks at "Connecting to regiion". When it locks up there is a lot of network traffic happening so it really does look like its trying but someting has got out of sync?.

If i keep retrying (i have to do a kill to all the processes as i cannot close the window) i eventualy can connect but it can take *many* attempts.

Is this a known problem or related to my setup

Debian Unstable
kernel 2.6.20.1
KDE desktop

Can provide as much more sys info as required

Thanks!

Right now people on all clients are having trouble logging in. No reason for it yet but there is a problem with packet loss and 30 minute logins right now.

and don't want to log me if it displays that!!

That's at night, I take it? I think that's for the XML display the First Look runs, since Mozilla's integration into the client.

I usually see hanging like behavior on LLCircuit::addCircuitData after a bunch of BaseCapabilitiesComplete::result got capability messages.

I made a hotkey to kill secondlife a while ago, its invaluable!

Logon Problem
03-05-2007 14:08
I have been using Second Life about a week. I find that when it hangs up on logon I can exit the application and restart it. I have not had to do this cycle more than twice to get a good logon.
