OK I don't normally use Linux while I'm on my own computer but on the laptop I have now the Linux option helps with performance so I'm trying to figure out how to install and run SL on it. I downloaded it and did everything the sticky post said to do and when I try to run it it tells me cannot run chosen path. So I guess I'm trying to figure out if I have to use a different path or even maybe since they said 'installation directory' (I'm a blond so knowing if that and the standard 'run' option are two different things is beyond me ) I would really appreciate some help on this one... Thanks! Kahlan

Could it be an issue of file permissions? Check the file proprties to see if you have "execute" permission on the "secondlife" script. How you do that depends on what distribution of Linux you are using (e.g. Ubuntu, Fedora, Suse etc.).

Hehe thanks... I'm thinking I should just wait til the laptops owner comes home and have him set it up for me LOL
I tried installing it for the windows section on his laptop but everytime I try to login it just locks everything up.
