After visiting a Creative Commons event in Second Life yesterday, someone expressed curiosity in me using a flickr photo or photos in a video. Using all open source software (gimp, gimp-gap, audacity, and avidemux) I made a little Creative Commons licensed video based around that idea. It only took around 7 or 8 hours time, so it's quite simple compared with taking 80+ hours putting together a video with more features. It shows a few simple effects including a final scene based on green/blue screening technique, all achieved using free software. Here is the link for anyone interested: Click hereThank you.

Nice to see your still playing with video, maybe we should get a few people together and do somthing in SL again. One suggestion tho, smaller shorter end credits - you can freeze frame if you want to read them

From: Rizzermon Sopor After visiting a Creative Commons event in Second Life yesterday, someone expressed curiosity in me using a flickr photo or photos in a video... Nice. You should change the link to the license. Visit http://creativecommons.org/video/ and look what they tell you about linking to a license. At the end you should use this kind of text: http://creativecommons.org/license/non-web-popup?q_1=2&q_1=1&field_commercial=n&field_derivatives=yes&field_jurisdiction=&field_format=MovingImage&field_worktitle=&field_description=&field_creator=&field_copyrightholder=&field_year=&field_sourceurl=&lang=en&language=en&n_questions=3Its not a bug problem but thats how you can make very clear what this license is about.

Ninjafoo thanks. Yes, a small group getting together for a video sounds like it could be fun. Vinci, thank you as well. Yes the link you provided certainly provides more detail. As a result, I went and looked at the creative commons site recommendations regarding linking to the license etc. Thank you for your input.
