OpenGL Extensions on Intel chipset

With the grid being down and myself being on vacation right now and stuck with my laptop I had some time on my paws and tried the OpenGL blacklist. It turned out that the "j" extension causes most of the display troubles you see there (textures flicker, distorted cylinder maps etc.). So using:

export LL_GL_BLACKLIST=j

on Intel i915 chipset (64 MB shared video memory) fixes those issues, but sadly it also disables shiny :(

Zi, I can confirm this - on my IBM X60 with the Intel 945 chipset disabling "j" also lets all the stuff work.

I've got 128MB of "shared" RAM, and it's not terribly horrific, but it'd be nice if I could squeak a few more FPS out it.

Thanks for the info, it's all being noted and will go towards autodisabling features in the future.
