I think it is something with the clipping (ie out of bounds) clipping. I used to use a 32bit install of FC6 but wanted to try out the 64bit.

Hardware:
AMD Opteron 165
2GB Ram
Geforce 7900GS 256MB

OS: Fedore Core 7 (64bit)

Also commenting out the lines in the startup script does not have any effect and they options are still "inactive" for me. I am just wondering if anyone has seen this before and if there is a fix. I dont really care about solving it but whatev.

Interesting. I'd try updating your graphics drivers first of all, and if that doesn't help then try turning on/off the 'Avatar Vertex Program' toggle in Preferences.

Hi,

I'm experiencing the same difficulties with FC7(i686). I use the current version of kmod-nvidia from livna.org.
I switched 'Avatar Vertex Program' off - it made the problem less serious but there are still errors in diplaying the right z-axis order of some surfaces.

Try using the nVidia driver, not the livna RPMS.

Hello,
I had the same problem with the elder Nvidia driver.
After updating to 100.14.09 all things work fine.

nVidia Geforce 6800LE, 256 bit, 128 MB

Kerik,

I had the same clipping problem earlier today. It turned out that I was using xorg's software rendering instead of nvidia. Switching back to nvidia's hardware rendering solved the problem.

Whats the difference to the livna-RPM?
Their version number is 100.14.11 too. (Built on 21th Jun 2007)
