sorry, for the stupid questions, but i am sort of new to this whole linux/second life thing. i have the client up and running somewhat smoothly, but the video ram is being reported incorrectly, and i don't have the option to change it. i have nvidia 7600gs with 512mb ram. the sl client only shows 256. is there any way to change this?

thanks

The amount of video RAM which is available to SL under normal circumstances is also limited by the amount of system RAM you have, for performance reasons. A system RAM upgrade would give you access to all of your video RAM.
