What a seemless and problem free run for a Linux app! And when I run it, I get like no lag and no jagginess and my Linux machine is on an old system.
AMD Athlon 1.0 Ghz 512 Mb Ram NVidia (can't remember the model [maybe mx400?] but it's 64Meg) Fedora Core 3
I'm basically experiencing everything that is in the Known Issues. Although, I am unsure whether this is related: My music play button doesnt even come up, but this is really trivial since I know that sound isn't working. hehe. On a similar note: video doesn't play although the video play button is present. Since it's an Alpha I won't bitch too much especially since it worked the first time I executed it!
I'm still in awe at how smooth movement is.

"Ditto"

Just wanted to Ditto this! I am so incredibly happy they've finally released a client, even if it is an alpha client, for Linux! I'm getting easily four times the performance out of a native client than I've ever gotten through the windows client with winex/cedega. With the exceptions of the known bugs and missing features, everything is working awesomely. It's *so* nice not to have to struggle with my Wintendo for doing serious SL scripting...

I'm also quite satisfied! Only downers are sound, and that fullscreen won't work for whatever reason... I can uncheck the box that says "Windowed mode" but it still plays in a window.
Saweet. Bye, Microsoft!

You could always uncheck the "windowed mode" box and then select a reasonable resolution for your system and then ctrl-alt-numpad+ the resolution to match. It's not perfect (the mouse will pan the window if you let it stray too far), but it should be a reasonable approximation.
