One thing getting on my nerves is the SL client crashing and leaving the screen res at 1280x720. My default resolution is 1280x1024. Is there a way to force SL to use the default so when it does crash, I don't have to keep reseting X everytime I want to do normal day to day tasks?

If SL crashes it cannot restore the previous resolution. Logically.  But in this case you should be able to walk through all of your configured resolutions by pressing [Alt]+[Ctrl]+[NumPad -] and [Alt]+[Ctrl]+[NumPad +] until you are back in 1280x1024. But I'd like to have access to the defauilt resolutions in SL, too, nevertheless. I don't see any reason why SL can run in a window in any format I draw it into, but not be able to run at the default values. In my case this would be 1600x1200. Runs fine in this resolution when windowed and maximized though. |
