Hi all. Yesterday I discovered a new workaround for getting Slurls to work on the Linux First Look client. First, find a Slurl on the web. Then go to your profile, and select Web. Enter the Slurl in the mini-browser URL box, and click Load. This will automatically take you to the map screen, with the Slurl location ready for teleporting. No having to fiddle with Firefox or the secondlife startup script at all now!

Even simpler. Copy it, open the chat line, paste it, say it, then look into your chat history. Everything looking like an URL is translated into a link, including SLURLs. Click on it, voila, instant map window with destination set.
And no messing with your profile settings.

And no messing with your profile settings. Now if we can only do it externally while SL isn't running, without messing with Firefox or the secondlife script, we're golden.
