Hi I am having the same problem, I dont know if it is relevant but I am running Ubuntu 7.04 - 64bit (still in test I know
 )I had to extract the 32bit version of libuuid.so.1.2 from a .deb package and put it in the 32bit library with a symlink called libuuid.so.1 that was pointing to libuuid.so.1.2. I'm afraid (or glad, take your pick) I can't reproduce it with that version - either it was a transitory network problem (the ToS are fetched over the net) in which case try again, or it's something local to your system.

I get the same thing on the current viewer build (I am also running Ubuntu 7.04 AMD64 beta, full set of lovingly hand-installed 32-bit libs), and the First Look works for me as well. Strange, with all the fancy complicated code in the viewer, that a DNS lookup would be the thing to fail!

Can you open up your /etc/resolv.conf and see if there are any "nameserver" lines? Also, what distribution are you running? _____________________
