Using Ubuntu 6.10 with kernel 2.6.17-10-generic. I downloaded the latest version today and extracted it to Desktop. Started it with ./secondlife and nothing happens except this output.

This is the actual error. Please make sure you have downloaded and installed the matching 3D accelerated drivers for your graphics card.
