Just installed it on my system running Linspire Linux from http://www.linspire.comIt was easy. I just downloaded it, extracted the files using ARK, clicked the secondlife file and boom I am playing. System Specs: AMD Athlon 2600 nVidia Geforce 5600 w/256MB video RAM 1GB PC2700 system RAM running a fresh install of Linspire 5.0.347

My settings running on Linspire

Use at your own risk. This has the appearance of Full Screen.
Step 1. -right click the Taskbar (the one with the Launch bar, but do not click Launch) -select Configure Panel -under Layout ---select Hiding tab ---select Hide automatically ---change to "Immediately" -click Apply and OK
Step 2. -edit SecondLife/user_settings/settings.ini -change the following option to match your video card GraphicsCardMemorySetting 0 for 16Mb GraphicsCardMemorySetting 1 for 32Mb GraphicsCardMemorySetting 2 for 64Mb GraphicsCardMemorySetting 3 for 128Mb GraphicsCardMemorySetting 4 for 256Mb GraphicsCardMemorySetting 5 for 512Mb
-add the following line UseDebugMenus TRUE
-change the following line RenderUseAGP TRUE
-save the file
Step 3. -run secondlife -click Preferences -click Graphics -uncheck Run in a Window -select resolution 1024x768 -click Apply, click OK
Step 4. -with the game open -there is a little arrow in the upper left corner or your screen -click the arrow -click Advanced -click No Border (you can also set this option permanently in Special Window Settings)
Step 5. (optional speed improvements) -open game and login to game -click Debug at the top and uncheck the following Rendering > Types > Clouds Rendering > Features > Fog

Only 2 problems I have run into so far is: -No Sound -Keymap is not working well, need to use arrow keys and Page Up/Down to move and fly
