Hello,
When I try to start SL with wine I get 2 messages
the first one : Sl is unable to detect direct x 9 (then i click on yes)
the second one: Second Life appear to have crashed (I click on send ...)
What can it be done to be able to play on sl? I tryed the linux version but I am not able to make it works .. well thanks for your help !

I'd focus on getting the native Linux version to go - most reports are that it is (once actually going) both faster and more stable than the Windows version (though since I have never used the Windows version, I cannot vouch for that).
I think SL-under-WINE has prtetty much gone by the wayside now because the Native client does it better these days.
So, I'd be looking on solving the issues stoping you using the native client - it will definitely be worth your while to do so.
Also, the issues stopping you using WINE are probably closely related to what is stoppiing you using the native client anyway, I would bet.
