Can I get three cheers for Second Life on Linux!?
I'll be installing this ASAP when I get home, although it looks like I may have to alternate a bit between WINE and this if it's as still incomplete as it says (not all keys working?). But hey, that's what Alpha is for, bring it on!

Got it up and running. Not able to change graphics settings, unfortunately. Says I've only got 16MB vram. Going to have to get to the bottom of this.

I'll double-check my xorg.conf, but I kind of doubt that's the problem. WoW has no trouble running under wine with settings all the way up, so I kind of doubt that any other app really thinks I've got 16MB VRAM. And many keys do, indeed, not work. Like WASD. But it runs FAST, and I LOVE that.

The vram max setting is wrong. The function which reads available memory seems to currently be short-circuited...
I will add this to the known issues list. =)

Needed latest Nvidia driver to get it working
02-01-2006 17:05
I had to install the latest Nvidia driver (1.0-817 to get going - prior to that the SL client wouldn't start, complaining about 32-bit graphics not being availiable, and telling me to fix it through the Control Panel .
