Okay, for some reason I can't login to JIRA even with credit card info in (ticket #4051-4560516), so meanwhile I will post them here.

- Issue one : Viewer will crash every time you try to upload (L$10) a file that has non-latin characters in its path. (Few versions ago those file and folders with non-latin characters just didn't appear in the file selector, but I still can't upload them...)

- Issue two : If you hit key A, turn on SCIM (the most common input method for Linux) and hit any key, and that is done too quickly, SCIM will catch the 'release key A' signal but the viewer won't, so key A will repeat in the viewer until you turn off SCIM and hit key A again. This happens to me on a daily basis, and most of the time key A happens to be the backspace key, so the whole line that I was typing gets "eaten", which is very frustrating...
* turn on SCIM
* type 'aaaaaaaaaaa'
* press enter (to insert the text from SCIM to the viewer), then quickly press backspace and 'a' (will turn on SCIM). You will notice an evil pac-man effect.
SL viewer is the only application I use in Linux that has this bug. I believe it's because it doesn't handle inline Japanese input yet - If I'm correct Windows version has been handling it since the last release and it was causing a bug with the release candidates (one typing sound triggered for each pressed key). And it is as needed in Linux as it was in Windows; typing text in the middle of the screen in a tiny box is not convenient.

I've filed the upload issue as:
http://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-5575

There are other issues for better input support.

Thanks for filing the bug for me.

Ticket #4051-4560516 is NOT related to it though. It's about me not being able to access JIRA or the support portal even with credit card info.

(Just a comment anyway... Why does one need payment info to contribute to SL's open source initiative? There are tons of users that make L$ inworld with no payment info and know how computers work...)
